More Opportunities

The Kurnitz Creative Writing Award is sponsored by the Dashew Center for International Students & Scholars. This writing competition is specifically designed to recognize the creative writing work of international students. Students may submit original screenplays, novels, television scripts, short plays, features/short stories, or poems. A total of $3,800 in scholarship prize money is allocated to winners! Eligible participants are foreign-born and do not hold U.S. citizenship, are currently enrolled at UCLA’s main campus, and are not native English speakers. Interested students can apply through the UCLA scholarship portal.
