Exam Schedule & Registration

The opening of registration for Administration III (Winter 2025) will be announced during Winter Quarter. Once registration is open, you can click on this link to register for a time to take the exam. 

Please note that the Winter 2025 administration will be held on-campus (in-person) in Kaplan Hall 111. Once you have registered for the exam, you will receive an email with instructions.

Exam Schedule: 2024-2025

Administration I

  • Summer 2024 (September 13th, 16th, 17th, & 18th 2024)
  • Location: Kaplan Hall (A-Level)
    All TOP exams are held on-campus (in-person).
    There will be no online exams.
  • Summer exam dates are for all students who plan on TA-ing in Fall 2024 or later

Administration II

  • Fall 2024 (November 22nd, 2024; December 5th & 6th, 2024)
  • Location: Kaplan Hall 111
    All TOP exams are held on-campus (in-person).
    There will be no online exams.
  • Fall exam dates are for all students who plan on TA-ing in Winter 2025 or later

Administration III

  • Winter 2025 (February 28, 2025; March 7, 2025; & March 14, 2025)
  • Location: Kaplan Hall 111
    All TOP exams are held on-campus (in-person).
    There will be no online exams.
  • Winter exam dates are for all students who plan on TA-ing in Spring 2025 or later

Administration IV

  • Spring 2025 (Friday May 23rd, 2025; Thursday June 5th, 2025; & Friday June 6th, 2025)
  • Location: Kaplan Hall 111
    All TOP exams are held on-campus (in-person).
    There will be no online exams.
  • Spring exam dates are for all students who plan on TA-ing in Summer 2025 or later

TOP Registration Policies

  • You must register at least 72 hours prior to your desired exam time. We close registration 48 hours before an exam.
  • You may only take 1 exam per administration (e.g., the Fall administration vs. the Winter administration)
  • Should you miss your exam appointment or fail to cancel your appointment 72 hours prior to your exam time, you will be charged a $50 fee and receive a score of “0” for the missed test, which will be reported to your department
  • NO SPECIAL EXAMS can be requested. If you fail to register for an exam time offered in the current exam administration, you must wait until the next exam administration

Cancelling Your Exam

You can only cancel your exam at least 72 hours prior to your exam date. If you cancel less than 72 hours before your appointment, you will be assessed a $50 fee. To cancel your exam, you need to use the same registration link above and edit your response (Choose “Cancel Exam”).
