Tianfang Sally Wang

Tianfang (Sally) Wang holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from The Pennsylvania State University. She has experience teaching various courses in English composition, academic communication, and applied linguistics to undergraduate and graduate students. In UCLA Writing Programs, she has taught English Composition 2, ESL 300, and ESL 301. Her research interests include the integration of Vygotskian sociocultural theory and cognitive linguistics for second language pedagogy, cross-linguistic conceptual metaphors in Mandarin and English, and classroom interaction within the field of conversation analysis.
