OPEN HOUSE for analog writing, typewriter tinkering, and poetry-on-demand

Presented by

UCLA Library & Writing Programs

Take a break from screens and explore analog writing. Drop by YRL to try typewriters from across the decades, from classic manuals to electric models. Writers will be on hand to compose original poems, typed on the spot and yours to take home. If you have one, feel free to bring your own typewriter to share or discuss care and repairs. At the top of each hour, we will offer a short demonstration and maintenance tips. Join us to discover— or rediscover —the ingenious invention that revolutionized writing!
