Writing Programs faculty member Maja Manojlovic will present her pitch for her team’s project, ScribeVR, at the Celebrating UCLA Entrepreneurs Pitch Showcase on November 2nd. ScribeVR is a concept for a virtual reality application for immersively composing, ideating and self-expression in 360 degree space.
Last spring, Maja and her team members Annelie Rugg and Tom Garbelotti were accepted into the Faculty Innovation Fellows Program supported by the UCLA Technology Development Group, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activities, and Startup UCLA. This program is aimed at promoting entrepreneurial excellence and startup culture among faculty across campus by advancing innovative academic projects into new startup companies, centers, or non-profits. As the lead faculty on her project, Maja was awarded $2,000 of funding for research support from the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Research and Creative Activities.
