During my interview for The Los Angeles Magazine internship, the recruiter asked if I had experience writing on a deadline, editing experience and if I regularly read magazine articles. Because of my experience in English Composition 138-Essays in Nonfiction Journalism, I was able to answer yes to all of those questions. The weekly essays, writing workshops, and assigned readings not only improved my writing and editing skills but also helped me land my internship this summer.
